The Yüksel Restaurant is one of the oldest and most known restaurants in Marmaris having first opened their doors in 1983. Ali, Mustafa and rest of the staff are very well known to the many people who have visited Marmaris over the years. For many old and new comers the road leads to Yüksel restaurant which is located on the main road about 400 metres along the beach from city centre; just before the Solaris Shopping Center.

Yüksel's menu is full of tasty items with lots of different choices. There are also many different traditional Turkish dishes on the menu. It has been said that Turkish cuisine is the third best known in the world and Yüksel' has wide selection of these. If you enjoy fish and would like to sample it cooked in the Turkish style pop in to Yüksel. A large selection of international dishes is also available. Chicken, steaks and pastas can be found on the menu; also soups, salads, starters and many others. Enjoy the evening in Turkish style: start with the meze (Turkish starters), cold or hot. Followed by a main course and lastly a sweet Turkish dessert. Your drink could be "lion's milk" - the traditional Turkish drink Raki.

Portions are pretty large so price and quality really meet. After dinner you can enjoy cup of a real Finnish filter coffee and a glass of Turkish brandy.

 Ali´S Boat Trip

 

"The excursion which you wish would continue for ever!"

In addition to the restaurant Yuksel have been organizing daily boat tours aboard their boat "Mehmedim" since 1985. For many, especially for the Finnish, this tour is a "must" thing to do on their holidays. Many have said this is the best boat tour offered in Marmaris. All local drinks and lunch is included in the price. Capacity of the boat is maximum of 55 persons. On the upper deck there are sun chairs for those who wish to sun bathe while the main deck is shaded with tables for those who want to relax out of the sun. There is also a toilet on the main deck.
The price also includes insurance for all clients during the tour.

The days route includes: Phosperous Caves, Gadirgakoyu, Çiftlik, Gebe Kise, Akyar, Baklabükü, Turunç, Sarimahmut, Içmeler before returning to Marmaris.

Lunch: Grilled steaks, chicken, meatballs, lamb chops, rice and salad.

Boat tours run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Departure: 10.00 o'clock from sea in front of Yüksel restaurant.

Return: 17.00 o'clock

A fishing tour is offered on Saturdays during which you have a chance to fish in Turkish way for local bass, small herring and other local fish. The days catch will be grilled on the boat for lunch.
